Composition

The main active ingredients of Adzhisept are:  

• 2,4 dichlorobenzyl alcohol (content in each tablet – 1,2 mg);
• Amylmethacresol (0,6 mg).

As auxiliary substances in classic tablets are used: Racementhol, citric acid, natural oils of anise and peppermint leaves, sucrose, sodium lauryl sulfate, dyes Azorubin (or Caramosine) and Ponso 4R

Pharmacological action

Antiseptic agent, has an anti-inflammatory, analgesic and local anesthetic effect. Coagulates microbial cell proteins; is active against a wide range of gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms in vitro; has an antifungal effect. Eliminates symptoms of irritation of the mucous membranes of the upper respiratory tract, reduces nasal congestion. Relieves irritation and sore throat

Indications

Infectious and inflammatory diseases of the oral cavity, throat, larynx: tonsillitis, pharyngitis, laryngitis (including professional ones – in teachers, speakers, chemical and coal industry workers), hoarseness, inflammation of the oral mucosa and gums (aphthous stomatitis, gingivitis, thrush).

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity, children’s age (up to 5 years).

How to take, course of use and dosage

Adults-every 2 hours to dissolve (until completely dissolved) 1 tablet or lozenge. The maximum daily dose is 8 tablets or lozenges. Children from 5 years — 1 tablet or lozenge every 4 hours.

Special instructions

If you accidentally miss one or more doses, the dose is not increased.

  Store in a dry place, protected from light, at a temperature not exceeding 25 °C.
