Composition
Juice from biostimulated leaves or “children” of aloe arborescens 80 ml;
ethyl alcohol 20 ml
Pharmacological action
ALOE juice – general tonic, adaptogenic, stimulating regeneration.
Aloe juice enhances bile secretion, secretion of digestive glands, has a laxative effect and bactericidal activity against pathogens (inside), anti-inflammatory, wound-healing effect (externally).
Indications
ALOE juice is shown inside when:
- chronic gastritis with low acidity of gastric juice;
- chronic colitis;
- as a laxative to increase the body’s resistance to infectious diseases;
- to improve appetite.
ALOE juice is used externally in the treatment of:
- diseases of the skin and mucous membranes;
- purulent wounds, burns, osteomyelitis, trophic ulcers;
- acute rhinitis;
- mouthwash.
Use during pregnancy and lactation
It is contraindicated for use during pregnancy and lactation.
Children’s age (up to 18 years).
Contraindications
- hypersensitivity to the components of the drug;
- arterial hypertension;
- severe forms of liver and kidney dysfunction;
- metrorrhagia;
- hemorrhoids;
- cystitis;
- hemoptysis;
- cholelithiasis;
- severe cardiovascular diseases;
- high blood pressure;
- acute gastrointestinal disorders.
Side effects
Rarely-allergic reactions.
Interaction
With prolonged use of aloe, the potassium content in the body may decrease, which may increase the effect of cardiac glycosides and antiarrhythmic drugs.
Concomitant use of aloe and thiazide diuretics, loop diuretics, licorice preparations, and corticosteroids increases the risk of developing potassium deficiency.
Aloe potentiates the action of laxatives, as well as drugs that stimulate hematopoiesis.
How to take, course of use and dosage
Inside,20-30 minutes before meals,1 teaspoon 2-3 times a day;
externally – in the form of lotions and direct irrigation of wounds.
The course is 15-30 days.
Overdose
In case of overdose, side effects may increase.
Treatment: symptomatic.
