Pharmacological action
Anti-allergic immunoglobulin is a concentrated solution of the purified fraction of immunoglobulins isolated by the method of ethyl alcohol fractionation from the blood plasma of healthy donors. The fraction of immunoglobulins is not less than 97% of the total protein.
The drug does not contain hepatitis B virus surface antigen (HBsAg) and antibodies to hepatitis C virus and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV-1 and HIV-2), as well as HIV-1 antigen p 24. The drug does not contain preservatives and antibiotics.
The active ingredient of the drug is immunoglobulin G, which has a pronounced anti-allergic effect in allergic diseases of the immediate (atopic) type.
Indications
Allergic diseases of mild and moderate severity in remission in adults and children over 1 year of age, pollinosis, allergodermatosis, atopic bronchial asthma.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity, age (up to 1 year).
Side effects
Possible minor and short-term exacerbation of the underlying disease, hyperemia at the injection site, fever (up to 37.5 °C).
How to take, course of use and dosage
Children over 5 years of age and adults are prescribed the drug for hay fever with various clinical manifestations, atopic bronchial asthma, recurrent forms of urticaria and angioedema, allergodermatosis. The drug is administered 2 ml (2 doses) intramuscularly in the outer upper quadrant of the gluteal muscle or in the anterior-outer thigh area. The course of treatment consists of five injections with an interval of 4 days.
Children from 1 year to 5 years old suffering from mild forms of atypical dermatitis, dermo-respiratory syndrome with a disease duration of no more than 1 year, the drug is administered 1 ml (1 dose) intramuscularly in the anterior thigh area,5 times with an interval of 4 days. In case of atopic bronchial asthma, pollinosis, atopic dermatitis and moderate dermorespiratory syndrome and with a disease duration of more than 1 year, the drug is administered in 2 ml (2 doses) according to the same scheme.
A second course of treatment is carried out in 4-5 months. With pollinosis, treatment is carried out 1 time a year,1-2 months before seasonal exacerbation.
Before injection, the ampoule with the drug is kept at a temperature of 18 to 22°C. Opening of ampoules and the procedure of use is carried out in strict compliance with the rules of asepsis and antiseptics.
Given the increased viscosity of the drug, in order to avoid the formation of foam, the immunoglobulin is collected in the syringe with a needle with a wide lumen, and another needle is used for injection. The drug in the opened ampoule is not subject to storage.
The drug is not suitable for use in ampoules with broken integrity or labeling, if the physical properties change (color change, turbidity of the solution, the presence of non-breaking flakes), if the storage temperature is violated.
