Composition

azelaic acid in terms of 100% substance – 15 g.
Auxiliary substances: Â Benzoic acid 0.1 g, methylpyrrolidone 4 g, squalane 1 g, propylene glycol 8 g, disodium edetate 0.1 g, sodium hydroxide 0.25 g, dimethicone 1 g, macrogol cetostearate 1.4 g, carbomer interpolymer 1.4 g, purified water up to 100 g.
Pharmacological action
Treatment of acne remedy.
Indications
Acne vulgaris, rosacea.
Use during pregnancy and lactation
During pregnancy and lactation, it is used only if the intended benefit to the mother exceeds the risk to the fetus and child.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.
Side effects
At the beginning of treatment, there may be a local irritant effect, hyperemia and peeling of the skin, burning, erythema, itching, usually stopping during treatment. Possible allergic skin reactions.
Interaction
It can be used in combination with other medications for the treatment of acne.
How to take, course of use and dosage
Externally.
The gel should be applied to pre-thoroughly washed (with water or cleansed with a mild cleansing cosmetic product) and dried skin of the face. The gel is applied in a thin layer to the affected areas of the skin 2 times a day (morning and evening) and lightly rubbed. Approximately 2.5 cm of gel is sufficient for the entire surface of the face. In patients with acne vulgaris marked improvement is usually observed after 4 weeks.
For best results, the drug should be continued for several months.
Overdose
Currently, no cases of overdose of the drug have been described.
Special instructions
Avoid getting the drug in the eyes, as well as on the mucous membranes of the nose, lips and mouth. In cases of severe skin irritation in the first weeks of treatment, the gel can be applied 1 time/day; short-term withdrawal of the drug is also possible. After the symptoms of skin irritation disappear, regular use of the drug should be resumed at the recommended dose.
