Composition
1 tablet contains 0.015 g of belladonna extract,0.25 g of analgin and anaesthesin, and 0.1 g of sodium bicarbonate
Pharmacological action
Pharmacological action is antacid, antispasmodic, hyposecretory, analgesic.
It blocks cyclooxygenase (metamizole), m-cholinergic receptors (belladonna alkaloids) and pain sensitivity (benzocaine).
Pharmacodynamics
The action is determined by the effects of the components included in the composition.
Antispasmodic (lowering the tone of smooth muscle organs, including the gastrointestinal tract) and antisecretory effects (reducing the secretion of gastric, pancreatic, bronchial, salivary, sweat glands and bile secretion) are due to the alkaloids of belladonna extract (hyoscyamine, scopolamine, apoatropin, etc. ), analgesic — metamizole and anesthetic, antacid — sodium bicarbonate.
Indications
- spasm of smooth muscles of the gastrointestinal tract, stomach pain
- inflammation of the gastric mucosa (gastritis) with high acidity
- peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum
Contraindications
-
- hypersensitivity;
- angle-closure glaucoma;
- prostate adenoma.
- hematopoietic depression (granulocytopenia, leukopenia, agranulocytosis, cytostatic or infectious neutropenia);
- severe hepatic and / or renal failure;
- hereditary hemolytic anemia associated with glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency;
- aspirin asthma.
With caution: Â kidney diseases (pyelonephritis, glomerulonephritis, including in the anamnesis), long-term abuse of ethanol.
Side effects
drowsiness, dizziness, dry mouth, thirst, constipation, mydriasis (dilated pupils).
Interaction
Enhances the effects of ethanol.
Concomitant use with chlorpromazine or other phenothiazine derivatives may lead to severe hyperthermia.
Radiopaque drugs, colloidal blood substitutes and penicillin should not be used during treatment with metamizole.
With simultaneous use of cyclosporine, the concentration of the latter in the blood decreases.
Metamizole, replacing oral hypoglycemic drugs, indirect anticoagulants, corticosteroids and Indometacin from protein binding, increases their activity.
Phenylbutazone, barbiturates, and other hepatoinducers reduce the effectiveness of metamizole when taken concomitantly.
Concomitant use with other non-narcotic analgesics, tricyclic antidepressants, hormonal contraceptives, and allopurinol may lead to increased toxicity.
Sedatives and anxiolytic drugs (tranquilizers) enhance the analgesic effect of metamizole.
Thiamazole and cytostatics increase the risk of leukopenia.
The effect is enhanced by codeine, histamine H2-receptor blockers and propranolol (slows down inactivation).
How to take, course of use and dosage
Inside, before meals,1 tab. 2-3 times/day.
The highest single dose for adults is 3 tablets, the daily dose is 10 tablets.
The duration of treatment is determined by the doctor.
Overdose
Symptoms: oliguria, hypothermia, decreased blood pressure, nausea, vomiting, gastralgia, tachycardia, shortness of breath, tinnitus, drowsiness, delirium, impaired consciousness, acute agranulocytosis, hemorrhagic syndrome, acute renal and/or liver failure, convulsions, paralysis of the respiratory muscles. Treatment: gastric lavage, saline laxatives, activated charcoal; forced diuresis, hemodialysis, with the development of convulsive syndrome – intravenous use of diazepam and fast-acting barbiturates.
