Pharmacological action
Bepanthen is a regenerating agent.
Pharmacodynamics
Dexpanthenol in skin cells is rapidly converted to pantothenic acid, which is a component of CoA and plays an important role in both the formation and healing of damaged skin; it stimulates skin regeneration, normalizes cellular metabolism.
Pharmacokinetics
When applied externally, it is rapidly absorbed by the skin (quickly absorbed) and converted to pantothenic acid, binds to plasma proteins (mainly beta-globulin and albumin).
Pantothenic acid is not metabolized in the body and is excreted unchanged.
Indications
Treatment and treatment of small wounds with a risk of infection, such as abrasions, scratches, small cuts and scratches, cracks, light burns; infected superficial skin lesions; cracked nipples during breastfeeding.
For chronic wounds, for example, trophic ulcers of the lower leg, bedsores, as well as for surgical wounds.
Contraindications

Special instructions
Do not use at the same time as other antiseptics. Chlorhexidine is incompatible with soap and other anionic compounds.
Avoid contact with mucous membranes.
