Rhizomes contain tannins,
arbutin,
isocoumarin bergenin and other biologically active substances.
Pharmacological action
The decoction has an astringent, antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, hemostatic effect.
Indications
Inflammatory diseases of the oral cavity and pharynx (stomatitis, gingivitis, pharyngitis, tonsillitis, periodontitis); in gynecology (vaginitis, colpitis, cervical erosion).
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the drug, pregnancy, lactation, children under 18 years of age.
Side effects

How to take, course of use and dosage
2 filter bags (3.0 g) are placed in a glass or enamel dish, pour 200 ml (1 cup) of boiling water, cover and insist for 30 minutes, periodically pressing on the bags with a spoon, then squeeze them out.
The volume of the resulting broth is brought with boiled water to 200 ml.
The decoction is applied topically for lotions and 1/2-1/3 cup for douching and rinsing 2-3 times a day; the course of treatment is 5-14 days.
It is recommended to shake the broth before use.

Pieces of rhizomes and scaly remnants of leaf petioles of various shapes.
Color from light pink to light brown with dark brown, almost black, less often whitish and greenish flecks.
There is no smell.
The taste of water extraction is strongly astringent.
Storage conditions
In a dry place, protected from light; cooked broth – in a cool place for no more than 2 days. Keep out of reach of children!
Shelf
life is 4 years. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
