BIOLOGICAL PROPERTIES

The medicinal properties of the drug are determined by the live lyophilized bifidobacteria (Bifidobacterium bifidum) contained in it, which are inherent in humans from birth and have antagonistic activity against a wide range of pathogenic and conditionally pathogenic microorganisms. The high quantitative level of bifidobacteria in the preparation makes it possible to normalize the intestinal microflora and thereby improve the activity of the gastrointestinal tract, metabolic processes, parietal digestion, and increase the nonspecific resistance of the body.

Indications

Intestinal dysbiosis of various etiologies.

In the complex therapy of intestinal dysfunction of unknown etiology; acute intestinal infections (dysentery, salmonellosis, E. coli, yersiniosis, rotavirus infection of unknown etiology); patients after acute intestinal infections;

chronic diseases of the digestive system intestinal microflora;

children (including newborns and premature babies) in pneumonia, sepsis and other purulent-infectious diseases, as well as anemia, malnutrition, rickets in order to reduce complications and improve the efficiency of the main treatment; allergic diseases;

dysbiosis and inflammatory processes of female genital mutilation (bacterial vaginosis, including pregnant women, bacterial vaginitis, and senile colpitis hormonal nature).

For the prevention of dysbacteriosis in the use of antibacterial drugs (including antibiotics), corticosteroids, and drugs that have ulcerogenic action on the gastrointestinal tract (including NSAIDs);

with radiation and chemotherapy;

in stressful situations and stay in extreme conditions; in frequently ill children of all ages;

children with severe pre-morbid condition, born prematurely or with signs of prematurity receiving antibiotics in the early neonatal period;

children whose mothers suffered from toxemia, extragenital diseases, had a long dry period, had lactose, cracked nipples and continued breast-feeding after recovery from mastitis;

children in the early their transfer to artificial feeding and feeding donor milk.

Use during pregnancy and lactation

The drug is approved for use in women during pregnancy and lactation. There are no special admission conditions.

Contraindications

Congenital lactase deficiency. Malabsorption of glucose-galactose.

Interaction

With simultaneous use of Bifidumbacterin with vitamins (especially Group B), the effect of the drug is enhanced. When taking antibiotics, the recommended interval between taking an antibiotic and Bifidumbacterin is 3-4 hours.

How to take, course of use and dosage

• for children under 6 months to 1 pack 2-3 times a day, with 2-3 days, if necessary, the frequency of taking the drug can be increased to 4-6 times a day,
• children over 6 months and doses of years: 1 package 3-4 times a day,
• children Health 7 years,1 packet 3-5 times a day,
• children over 7 years,2 pack 3-4 times a day,
• adults-2 pack 3-4 times a day.

The frequency of taking the drug, if necessary, can be increased up to 6 times a day.

The course of treatment is 3-4 weeks. If necessary, the course of treatment can be repeated 2-3 times, each course-in a month.

In the acute period with a severe course of the disease with severe dysbiosis, the daily dose of the drug can be increased only as prescribed by the attending physician. When using the drug in the complex treatment of acute intestinal infections, the course of treatment is 7-10 days. For preventive purposes:

• children under 6 months of age 1 pack 1 time a day,
• children over 6 months of age 1 pack 1-2 times a day,
• children from 3 years of age 2 packs 1-2 times a day,
• adults 2 packs 1-2 times a day.

The preventive course is carried out for 2-3 weeks 2-3 times a year. Bifidumbacterin is taken with a meal, if necessary, regardless of the meal. The drug before use is mixed with liquid food, preferably fermented milk product, newborns and children – with mother’s milk or formula for artificial feeding. You can mix the drug with 30-50 ml of boiled water at room temperature, while a slightly opalescent suspension of whitish or grayish color is formed. The resulting water suspension should be drunk without achieving complete dissolution.

For topical application:

• for the treatment of breast cancer women 1 pack of the drug is poured into 10-15 ml of boiled water at room temperature, the obtained suspension is impregnated with a sterile swab and treat them the nipple and areola for 2030 minutes before each feeding the baby, leave the swab on the surface of the breast before feeding, such processing carried out not less than 5 days,

Overdose

No cases of overdose were observed.
