The first stage of admission is 4-6 hours. Age Volume of solution in the first 4-6 hours*, ml 0-2 years 250-750 from 2 years and adults from 1000* Calculation of the volume of solution is made in a dosage of 50-100 ml/kg of body weight.
The maximum dose of the solution should not exceed 4000 ml per day. When vomiting, apply the solution frequently and in small portions. For the child, calculate the amount of solution needed for an hour, and let’s drink 10-15 ml every 5-10 minutes using a pipette or teaspoon.
The second stage of use is 50-100 ml after each episode of loose stools, but not less than 50 ml/kg of body weight per day until symptoms stop. BioGaia® ORS has a neutral taste, which makes it easier for young children to use the solution.
