Pharmacological action
Infusion of birch buds has a diuretic and anti-inflammatory effect.
Indications
Edema of cardiac or renal origin of mild to moderate severity.
Recommendations for use
About 10 g (1 tablespoon) of kidneys are placed in an enamel bowl, pour 200 ml (1 cup) of hot boiled water, cover with a lid and insist on a boiling water bath for 15 minutes, cool at room temperature for 45 minutes, filter, the remaining raw materials are squeezed out. The volume of the resulting infusion is brought with boiled water to 200 ml. Take inside 1/2-1/3 cup 3 times a day for 30 minutes before meals. It is recommended to shake the infusion before use.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the drug. Chronic renal failure, acute glomerulonephritis, pregnancy, lactation, children under 12 years of age.

Description
The kidneys are elongated-conical, pointed or blunted, often sticky. Scales are tiled, tightly pressed at the edges, slightly ciliated (the lower ones are shorter than the upper ones and sometimes with slightly lagging tips); the length of the buds is 3-7 mm, in diameter – 1.5-3 mm. The color of the buds is brown, sometimes greenish at the base. The smell is balsamic, pleasant. The taste of water extraction is slightly astringent, resinous.
Storage conditions
Store in a dry place, protected from light. The finished infusion should be stored in a cool place for no more than 2 days. Keep out of reach of children.
