Composition
1 coated tablet contains: Active ingredient: bisacodyl 5 mg.
Indications
- Constipation caused by hypotension of the colon and sluggish peristalsis of the colon (including in elderly patients, after surgery, childbirth).
- Regulation of stool for hemorrhoids, proctitis, anal fissures.
- Preparation for surgical operations, instrumental and radiological examinations.
Contraindications
- hypersensitivity to Bisacodil,
- intestinal obstruction,
- pinched hernia,
- acute inflammatory diseases of the abdominal cavity,
- peritonitis,
- bleeding from the gastrointestinal tract,
- uterine bleeding,
- spastic constipation,
- acute proctitis,
- acute hemorrhoids,
- colon carcinoma.
Side effects
Possible allergic reactions.
On the part of the gastrointestinal tract, spastic abdominal pain, diarrhea are possible, which can lead to dehydration of the body, a violation of the electrolyte balance.
The use of high doses or prolonged use of bisacodil can lead to the development of intestinal atony.
How to take, course of use and dosage
Bisacodil tablets are taken orally at bedtime, regardless of the meal time. The tablet should be swallowed without chewing!Dosage for adults: 1-3 tablets (5-15 mg) at a time. If there is insufficient laxative effect, the drug is taken additionally the next morning-1-2 tablets (5-10 mg). Dosage for children over 6 years of age: 1 tablet (5 mg).
Special instructions
The drug is used with caution in pregnant and lactating women, in patients with liver and/or kidney diseases, as well as in patients with suspected inflammatory bowel diseases. Do not use the drug for more than 7 days without special instructions from your doctor.
