Composition
1 tablet contains metamizole sodium 500 mg,
pitofenone hydrochloride 5 mg and fenpiverinium bromide 0.1 mg
Pharmacological action
Pharmacological action – analgesic, antipyretic, anti-inflammatory.
Metamizole (a derivative of pyrazolone) has an analgesic, antipyretic and weak anti-inflammatory effect, pitofenone has a direct myotropic effect on smooth muscles, causing its relaxation, fenpiverinium has a cholinolytic effect and, as a result, also a relaxing effect on smooth muscles.
Relieves pain, eliminates spasm of smooth muscles, reduces elevated body temperature.
Indications
- Pain of various origins
- spasms of internal organs (renal colic, biliary colic)
- postoperative pain. spasms of the brain vessels.
Use during pregnancy and lactation
Beral is contraindicated in pregnant women, nursing mothers and children of the first three months of life.
Contraindications
- agranulocytosis
- ischemic heart
- disease glaucoma
- prostate adenoma
- severe hepatic-renal insufficiency
- hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.
Side effects

- impaired renal function
- allergic reactions.
Interaction
Concomitant use of Bral with other non-narcotic analgesics may lead to mutual enhancement of the effects.
Tricyclic antidepressants, oral contraceptives, and allopurinol disrupt the metabolism of metamizole in the liver and increase its toxicity.
Barbiturates, phenylbutazone, and other inducers of microsomal liver enzymes weaken the effect of metamizole sodium.
Concomitant use with cyclosporine reduces the level of the latter in the blood. Sedatives and tranquilizers enhance the analgesic effect of the drug.
When combined with ethanol-mutual enhancement of effects.

How to take, course of use and dosage
Inside, preferably after a meal.
Adults: and children over 15 years of age 1-2 tablets 2-3 times a day, the maximum daily dose was taken-6 tablets.
Children: only as prescribed by a doctor: 6-8 years old 1/2 table.,9-12 years old-3/4 table.,13-15 years old-1 table. 2-3 times a day.
Duration of admission – no more than 5 days.
Overdose
Symptoms: vomiting, low blood pressure, drowsiness, confusion, nausea, epigastric pain, impaired liver and kidney function, convulsions.
Treatment: gastric lavage, use of activated charcoal, symptomatic therapy.
Special instructions
Metabolites of metamizole can turn the urine red.

Store in a dry place, protected from light, at a temperature not exceeding 20 °C.
