Composition

Burdock roots.

Pharmacological action

Decoction of burdock roots has a diuretic, moderate choleretic and diaphoretic effect, improves mineral metabolism. It has a local anti-inflammatory and wound-healing effect.

Indications

It is used internally for cystitis, urethritis, gastritis, biliary dyskinesia of the hypomotor type, gout, arthritis (in complex therapy).

 Externally – seborrhea, acne, eczema, furunculosis.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the drug, pregnancy, lactation, children’s age (up to 12 years).

How to take, course of use and dosage

of 10 g (2 tablespoons) of roots is placed in an enamel bowl, pour 200 ml (1 cup) of hot boiled water, cover with a lid and heat in a boiling water bath with frequent stirring for 30 minutes, cool at room temperature for 10 minutes, filter, the remaining raw materials are squeezed out.

The volume of the resulting broth is brought with boiled water to 200 ml.

Take inside in a warm form of 100 ml (1/2 cup) 2-3 times a day for 30 minutes before meals. The course of treatment is 2-3 weeks. Externally-in the form of irrigation, washing, wet bandages. It is recommended to shake the infusion before use.
