Composition

1 tablet contains: dry bile 100 mg; dried pancreas (obtained from frozen pancreas) 100 mg; dried mucous membranes of small intestines 100 mg; excipients: sucrose, magnesium hydroxycarbonate wheat flour, colloidal silicon dioxide, titanium dioxide, calcium stearate, gelatin beeswax.

Pharmacological action

Cholenzim is a combined preparation of animal origin that normalizes the digestive process.

It has a choleretic effect.

The pancreatic enzymes included in the preparation (trypsin and amylase) facilitate the digestion of carbohydrates and proteins, which contributes to their more complete absorption in the small intestine.

Indications

It is used as a choleretic and digestive enzyme agent for:

• chronic hepatitis,
• cholecystitis,
• functional disorders of the gastrointestinal tract,
• biliary dyskinesia,
• chronic pancreatitis with impaired exocrine function of the pancreas.

Contraindications

• Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug,
• acute pancreatitis,
• exacerbation of chronic pancreatitis,
• acute hepatitis,
• acute liver dystrophy,
• exacerbation of gastric and duodenal ulcers.

Side effects

The drug is usually well tolerated, but allergic reactions may occur.

If they appear, you should stop taking the drug.

Interaction

Concomitant use of antacids containing calcium carbonate and / or magnesium hydroxide may reduce the effectiveness of the drug.

With prolonged use, iron absorption may decrease.

How to take, course of use and dosage

of Cholenzim is prescribed orally 1 tablet 1-3 times a day after meals.

Overdose

With prolonged use of high doses, nausea, heartburn, diarrhea, itching of the skin, an increase in the level of transaminases in the blood are possible.
