Composition

of 100 g of ointment contains:

Active ingredient:  

Chondroitin sulfate (in terms of dry matter) – 5 g (extract from cartilage tissue);

Auxiliary substances:  

Dimethyl sulfoxide (dimexide) — 10 g,

Lanolin anhydrous-15 g,

Vaseline — 50 g,

Distilled monoglycerides — 1 g,

Purified water — up to 100 g.

Pharmacological action

Chondroxide normalizes metabolism in hyaline tissue, stimulates regenerative (regenerative) processes in articular cartilage, has analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects, slows down the progression of osteoarthritis and osteochondrosis.

Chondroxide contains a natural component of chondroitin sulfate (a high-molecular mucopolysaccharide) obtained from bovine tissues.

Chondroitin sulfate improves phosphorus-calcium exchange in cartilage tissue, accelerates the processes of its repair, inhibits the processes of degeneration (destruction) of cartilage tissue; prevents the collapse of connective tissue;

inhibits enzymes that cause damage to cartilage tissue, stimulates the synthesis of glucosaminoglycans, promotes regeneration (restoration) of the articular bag and cartilage surfaces of joints, increases the production of intra-articular fluid.

This leads to a reduction in soreness and increased mobility of the affected joints.

Dimethyl sulfoxide, which is part of the ointment, promotes better penetration of chondroitin sulfate through cell membranes deep into tissues, has some anti-inflammatory, analgesic and fibrinolytic effects.

How to take, course of use and dosage

Externally: apply 2-3 times a day to the skin above the lesion and rub for 2-3 minutes until completely absorbed.

The course of treatment is 2-3 weeks.

If necessary, the course of treatment is repeated.
