Pharmacological action
Bitter apple (bitter cucumber) – herbaceous creeping plant. Yellow flowers produce corky, spongy yellow-green globular berries the size of small oranges, containing seeds. Citrullus colocynthis contains the glycoside cucurbitacin, which is also present in Bryonia alba.
Cucurbitacin has a strong laxative effect, and also has an antitumor effect. In addition, Citrullus colocynthis contains chlorogenic acid.
Indications
The key symptoms for prescribing the drug
- are severe spastic pain that causes the patient to “bend in half”;
- the patient constantly screams and complains;
- a feeling of compression “like an iron clamp”.

Gastroenterology

How to take, course of use and dosage
Sublingual.
Granules should be absorbed in the mouth 30 minutes before meals or 60 minutes after meals.
For children from 0 to 3 years of age, the pellets are pre-diluted, shaking, in 10-15 ml of water at room temperature and given to drink.
The optimal amount per dose is 5 pellets.
