Composition
>
1 ml of gel for intravaginal use contains: active ingredients: dipotassium glycyrrhizinate (Glycyrrhiza glabra L. extract) 4%, peptidoglycan and lipoteic acid complex (obtained by sterile fermentation of Lactobacillus 4%, Echinacea purpurea (L. ) Moench) 2%, excipients: glycerin; deionized water.
Pharmacological action
Colpocide is a complex of natural components that provide improved regeneration, increased antiviral immunity.
Effect on the body
The components that make up the Colpocide contribute to the restoration of epithelialization in cervical dysplasia and increase local antiviral immunity in papillomavirus infection.
Component Properties
Peptidoglycans (PTG) and lipoteichic acid (LTA) obtained by sterile fermentation of lactobacilli serve as an inducer of defensins production, which play an important role in activating their own antibacterial and antiviral immunity, reduce inflammatory reactions, and stimulate regeneration and epithelialization processes.
Echinacea purpurea (L. ) Moench stimulates the body’s natural defenses and acts as an immune booster. In addition, the antiviral effect of echinacea purpurea and its ability to improve the processes of regeneration and epithelialization were established.
Glycyrrhizic acid (obtained by extraction from vegetable raw materials (Glycyrrhiza glabra L. ). The immunostimulating effect of glycyrrhizic acid is manifested by an increase in the number and activity of T-lymphocytes, a decrease in the concentration of IgG, and an increase in the concentration of IdA and IdM. Activated glycyrrhizic acid significantly inhibits the release of kinins and the synthesis of PG by connective tissue cells in the inflammatory zone. The regenerating effect is due to improved skin and mucosal repair.
The anti-inflammatory activity of glycyrrhizic acid is combined with a stimulating effect on humoral and cellular immune factors. Activated glycyrrhizic acid induces the formation of interferon, which is one of the components of its antiviral action. Glycyrrhizic acid has an antiviral effect on various types of DNA and RNA viruses in vitro and in vivo (Varicella zoster, herpes simplex virus type 1 and 2, cytomegalovirus, various types of human papillomavirus, including oncogenic ones). Glycyrrhizic acid interrupts the replication of viruses in the early stages. Activated glycyrrhizic acid inactivates these viruses in non-toxic concentrations for normally functioning cells. Strains of viruses that are resistant to acyclovir and iodouridine are also highly sensitive to glycyrrhizic acid.
Indications
As part of the complex therapy of papillomavirus infection, to improve the processes of regeneration and epithelialization in cervical dysplasia of viral and bacterial etiology, to increase local antiviral immunity.
