Pharmacological properties
Pharmacotherapeutic group: means multivitamin + minerals.
ATX code: A 11 AA 04.
Pharmacological properties
A combined preparation containing a complex of vitamins and minerals that are important factors in metabolic processes. Compatibility of the components in 1 tablet is provided by a special technology for the production of vitamin and mineral complexes.
Retinol (vitamin A) – provides normal function of the skin, mucous membranes, and the visual organ.
alpha-Tocopherol acetate (vitamin E) – has antioxidant properties, supports the stability of red blood cells, prevents hemolysis; has a positive effect on the functions of the sex glands, nervous and muscle tissue.
Ergocalciferol (vitaminD2) – participates in maintaining the homeostasis of calcium and phosphorus, improves their absorption in the small intestine, prevents the development of rickets.
Thiamine (vitamin B– 1) – participates in carbohydrate metabolism, the functioning of the nervous system.
Riboflavin (vitaminB2) is an essential catalyst for cellular respiration and visual perception.
Pyridoxine (vitaminB6) – takes part in protein metabolism and neurotransmitter synthesis.
Cyanocobalamin (vitaminB12) – participates in the synthesis of nucleotides, is an important factor in the normal growth, hematopoiesis and development of epithelial cells; it is necessary for folic acid metabolism and myelin synthesis.
Nicotinamide (vitamin PP) – participates in the processes of tissue respiration, fat and carbohydrate metabolism.
Ascorbic acid (vitamin C) – provides collagen synthesis; participates in the formation and maintenance of the structure and function of cartilage, bones, teeth; affects the formation of hemoglobin, maturation of red blood cells.
Rutin (rutoside) – participates in redox processes, has antioxidant properties, prevents oxidation and promotes the deposition of ascorbic acid in tissues.
Calcium pantothenate-plays an important role in the processes of acetylation and oxidation; promotes the construction and regeneration of epithelium and endothelium.
Folic acid-takes part in the synthesis of amino acids, nucleotides, and nucleic acids; it is necessary for normal erythropoiesis.
Iron-participates in erythropoiesis, as part of hemoglobin provides oxygen transport to tissues.
Calcium is necessary for the formation of bone matter, blood clotting, transmission of nerve impulses, contraction of skeletal and smooth muscles, and normal myocardial activity.
Copper-prevents anemia and oxygen starvation of organs and tissues, helps prevent osteoporosis. Strengthens the walls of blood vessels.
Zinc is an immunostimulant, promotes the absorption of vitamin A, promotes hair regeneration and growth.
Magnesium-plays an important role in protein biosynthesis and energy metabolism, reduces the excitability of the nervous system, and prevents the formation of kidney stones.
Phosphorus-strengthens bone tissue and teeth, increases mineralization, is a part of ATP-the energy source of cells.
Manganese is essential for normal growth, metabolism, osteogenesis, carbohydrate and lipid metabolism.
Selenium-participates in the regulation of tissue elasticity, has an antioxidant effect, protects cells and tissues of the body from the effects of adverse environmental factors.
Iodine-is a part of the thyroid hormones thyroxine and triiodothyronine, which control the intensity of energy metabolism, actively affect the mental and physical development of a person, the state of the central nervous system.
Fluoride-is an essential element for normal growth and development of the body, reduces the frequency and severity of dental caries.
Indications
Children aged 7-12 years for the prevention and replenishment of vitamin and mineral deficiencies:
– with unbalanced and inadequate nutrition;
– with increased physical and mental stress, with regular sports;
– in regions with unfavorable environmental conditions.
Use during pregnancy and lactation
The use of the drug during pregnancy and lactation is contraindicated.
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.
- Children under 7 years of age.
- Hypervitaminosis A, hypervitaminosis D;
- Increased calcium content in the body (hypercalcemia, hyperparathyroidism, thyrotoxicosis, sarcoidosis),
- Increased iron content in the body (hemosiderosis, hemochromatosis, sideroachrestic anemia).
It is not recommended for use in patients withB12-deficient anemia.
Side effects
Allergic reactions.
Interaction
The drug contains iron and calcium, so it delays the absorption of antibiotics from the group of tetracycline and fluoroquinolone derivatives from the gastrointestinal tract.
Concomitant use of vitamin C and short-acting sulfonamide preparations increases the risk of crystalluria.
Antacids containing aluminum, magnesium, calcium, and colestyramine reduce iron absorption.
Concomitant use of thiazide diuretics increases the risk of hypercalcemia.
How to take, course of use and dosage
When using it, you should consult your doctor. Inside,1 tablet
1 time a day after meals, washed down with a sufficient amount of liquid. The course duration is 1 month.
Overdose
The patient should be informed that in case of accidental overdose, consult a doctor.
Treatment: temporary discontinuation of the drug, gastric lavage, use of activated charcoal, and symptomatic therapy.
Special instructions
If allergic reactions occur, the drug should be discontinued. Simultaneous use of other multivitamin complexes is not recommended to avoid overdose. It is possible to stain urine in a bright yellow color, which is completely harmless and is explained by the presence of riboflavin in the preparation.
Influence on the ability to drive vehicles and mechanisms
The drug does not adversely affect the ability to drive vehicles and perform other potentially dangerous activities that require increased concentration of attention and speed of psychomotor reactions.
Form of production
Film-coated tablets.
