Composition
>of 1 g of ointment contains: Active ingredient-dexpanthenol-50 mg; excipients: glycerol(glycerin), petroleum jelly, lanolin, liquid paraffin, solid paraffin, stearic alcohol, cetyl alcohol, water.
Pharmacological action
Dexpanthenol in skin cells is rapidly converted to pantothenic acid, which is a component of coenzyme A and plays an important role in both the formation and healing of damaged skin; it stimulates skin regeneration, normalizes cellular metabolism. When applied externally, it is rapidly absorbed by the skin and converted to pantothenic acid, binds to plasma proteins (mainly beta-globulin and albumin). Its concentration in the blood is 0.5-1 mg/l, in the blood serum-100 mcg/l. Pantothenic acid is not metabolized in the body (except for inclusion in Co – A), it is excreted unchanged.
Indications
In case of violation of the integrity of the skin: healing of burns( including sunburn), minor skin injuries (abrasions, cuts, cracks, etc. ). Prevention and treatment of dry skin, including as a result of dermatitis of various origins (manifested by peeling, redness, irritation, tightness), as well as daily care of areas of skin that are most affected by external factors (face, hands), including due to weathering. For the care of the breast during breastfeeding (cracks and redness of the nipples of the breast), for the care of children and children (diaper rash, ” diaper ” dermatitis).
Recommendations for use
Externally. The ointment is applied in a thin layer 1-2 times a day on the affected surface and lightly rubbed. When caring for the mammary gland, ointment is applied to the surface of the nipple after each breast-feeding. When caring for infants, the ointment is applied after each change of underwear or water treatment. If there is no improvement after treatment, or the symptoms worsen, or new symptoms appear, you should consult your doctor. Use the drug only according to the indications, the method of use and in the doses indicated in the instructions for use.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to dexpanthenol and its components.
Side effects
