Composition

Active ingredients in 1 g of the drug:

• sodium heparin 100 IU
• essential phospholipids 10 mg
• escin 10 mg

Pharmacological action

The combined drug has a local anticoagulant, anti-inflammatory, venotonic and antiplatelet effect, reduces the permeability of veins, microcirculation.

Detragel® contains three active ingredients: sodium heparin, essential phospholipids and escin, which have pharmacodynamic and pharmacokinetic synergism.

Heparin Sodium – a direct-acting anticoagulant. Due to the inactivation of biogenic amines and blocking of lysosomal enzymes in the tissue, it has an anti-inflammatory effect, accelerates the dissolution of microthrombs in the subcutaneous capillaries, prevents thrombosis, activates the fibrinolytic system; microcirculation, promotes the regeneration of connective tissue by inhibiting the activity of hyaluronidase.

Essential phospholipids reduce blood viscosity due to the effect on fat metabolism, reduce platelet aggregation processes.

Escin is a venotonic agent of plant origin. Prevents the activation of lysosomal enzymes that break down proteoglycan, increases the tone of the venous wall, eliminates venous congestion; reduces the permeability and fragility of capillaries. Reduces exudation, reduces fluid effusion in the tissue and accelerates the resorption of existing edema. It slows down the processes of inflammation, microcirculation, promotes tissue repair.

Indications

• therapy of symptoms of chronic venous diseases;
• varicose veins with symptoms in the form of pain, swelling, feeling of heaviness and fatigue in the legs, nocturnal cramps of the calf muscles and with signs in the form of telangiectasias (vascular asterisks and meshes) and varicose veins;
• superficial phlebitis, thrombophlebitis;
• hematomas in injuries, including sports sprains and bruises;
• postoperative hematomas without violating the integrity of the skin.

Recommendations for use

For external use.

The gel is applied in a thin layer to the problem area of the skin and evenly distributed with light massaging movements,2-3 times / day daily until the symptoms disappear.

If necessary, the gel can be applied under elastic stockings or bandages.

With thrombophlebitis, rubbing the gel should be avoided.

It is contraindicated to apply the gel to the mucous membranes.

Duration of treatment – no more than 15 days. The possibility of a longer course of treatment is determined by the doctor.

If the condition worsened or improvement did not occur after 15 days, the patient should consult a doctor.

Do not exceed the recommended dose and duration of use of the drug.

Contraindications

• hypersensitivity to the components of the drug;
• hemorrhagic diathesis (including thrombocytopenic purpura);
• hemophilia;
• violation of the integrity of the skin at the site of application of the drug (open wounds, ulcerative necrotic lesions), burns, eczema, skin infections;
• contraindicated for use on mucous membranes;
• age up to 18 years (there is no experience of using the drug in children under 18 years of age)

Special instructions

To date, there have been no reports of adverse effects on the mother and fetus when using the drug by pregnant women.

Use during pregnancy and during breastfeeding is possible only in cases where the expected benefit of therapy for the mother exceeds the potential risk to the fetus, therefore, before using the drug, you should consult a doctor.

Medications for topical use, especially after prolonged use, have a sensitizing effect. If this happens, treatment with the drug should be discontinued and, if necessary, appropriate treatment should be prescribed.

With prolonged use of the drug on large areas of the skin and simultaneous use of indirect anticoagulants (warfarin, acenocumarol and others), prothrombin time and blood clotting time should be monitored.

It is not recommended to use Detragel® for deep vein thrombosis.

If the patient’s condition worsened or improvement did not occur after 15 days, the patient should consult a doctor.

Storage conditions

The drug should be stored out of the reach of children at a temperature no higher than 25 ° C.
