sodium acetate trihydrate 2 g
Pharmacological action
Combined saline solution for rehydration and detoxification.
The drug is designed to restore the water-electrolyte balance and CBS in the body during dehydration.
It also prevents the development of metabolic acidosis, increases diuresis.
In addition, it has a plasma-substituting, detoxifying, rehydrating effect.
Indications
- rehydration;
- hyperkalemia;
- intoxication on the background of dehydration (cholera, acute dysentery, food toxicoinfection).
Contraindications
- hypersensitivity;
- renal failure;
- chronic heart failure.
Use in patients with impaired renal function
It is contraindicated in patients with renal insufficiency.
Side effects
Edema, tachycardia. In some cases, chills may occur.
How to take, course of use and dosage
In/in (jet and drip), under the control of laboratory parameters. The ratio of the injected fluid and diuresis is determined every 6 hours. Within 1 hour, the solution is administered in an amount corresponding to 7-10% of the patient’s body weight; then the jet injection is replaced with a drip, for 24-48 hours, at a rate of 40-120 drops/min. Before use, the solution is heated to 36-38 degrees. C. The solution is administered in the amounts necessary to restore the volume of fluid lost with feces, vomit, urine, and sweat.
In severe forms of diseases (hypovolemic infectious and toxic shock, decompensated metabolic acidosis, anuria), start with a jet injection of the drug, followed by a transition to drip.
For milder forms of diseases (intoxication and dehydration of the body, metabolic acidosis, oliguria), you can limit yourself to drip use of the drug.
After the elimination of hyperkalemia, further water-salt therapy is carried out with solutions of “Trisol”, “Acesol ” or”Chlosol”.
Special instructions
Therapy is carried out under the control of hematocrit and blood electrolyte concentration.
