Pharmacological action

Combined preparation of plant origin; has bronchodilator, mucolytic, expectorant and anti-inflammatory effects.

Indications

Symptomatic treatment of acute and chronic respiratory diseases accompanied by a dry cough or cough with sputum difficult to separate (pharyngitis, laryngitis, including “lectoritis”, tracheitis, bronchitis).

Use during pregnancy and lactation

Due to the lack of experience of use in pregnant and lactating women, the drug is not recommended for this group.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, sucrose/isomaltase deficiency, fructose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption, children (up to 3 years).

Side effects

Feeling of nausea and abdominal discomfort. Allergic reactions. If you experience side effects that are not described in these instructions, you should stop taking the drug and inform your doctor about this.

Interaction

Concomitant use with antitussive medications is not recommended due to the possibility of impaired discharge of liquefied sputum.

How to take, course of use and dosage

For children:

• from 3 to 5 years-1/2 teaspoon (2.5 ml) 3 times a day;
• from 6 to 14 years-1/2-1 teaspoon (2.5-5.0 ml) 3 times a day.

Adults and children over 14 years of age: 5.0-10.0 ml 3 times a day. The course of treatment is 2-3 weeks. An increase in the duration and repeated courses of treatment is possible on the recommendation of a doctor.

The drug contains sucrose, which should be taken into account by patients with diabetes mellitus, as well as persons on a hypocaloric diet. A single dose for adults (5.0-10.0 ml) contains 3.75-7.50 g of sucrose, which corresponds to 0.31-0.62 XE. The drug should be kept out of the reach of children. If a child accidentally or intentionally swallows the drug, seek immediate medical attention. If the medicine has fallen into disrepair or the expiration date has expired, do not throw it into the sewer or on the street! Place the medicine in a plastic bag and put it in the trash can.
