Pharmacodynamics
The laxative effect of Endofalk is due to the action of the components included in the preparation and is manifested in the occurrence of diarrhea. Macrogol 3350 (polyethylene glycol), due to the creation of an isoosmolar solution, prevents absorption in the stomach and intestines and promotes accelerated passage and excretion of gastrointestinal contents.
Salt electrolytes, which are part of the preparation, prevent a violation of the water-salt balance of the body.
Pharmacokinetics
High molecular weight polyethylene glycols are not absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract and are not metabolized during passage (they prevent undesirable gas formation caused by the metabolizing action of bacteria).

From the gastrointestinal tract: rarely-nausea, vomiting, flatulence, cramping pains; at the beginning and some time after taking-a feeling of heaviness and discomfort in the abdomen; sleep disorders; very rarely-allergic reactions.
From the central nervous system: very rarely-sleep disorders and general malaise.
Hypersensitivity reactions: very rare — allergic reactions.

The process of releasing the intestinal contents caused by the action of the drug can lead to a violation of the absorption of other drugs taken simultaneously with it.
Endofalk is taken orally, for adults and children over 18 years of age, in the form of a solution.
The solution can be taken orally or administered through a nasogastric tube the night before or in the morning on the day of the intended bowel examination or surgery. In the evening before and in the morning on the day of the study, it is also necessary to refrain from eating.
To prepare 1 liter of solution, the contents of 2 sachets are dissolved in 1/2 liter of cooled boiled (purified) water, then the volume of the solution is adjusted to 1 liter. To completely cleanse the intestines, it is recommended to prepare and take at least 3 liters of Endofalk solution.
The time during which the solution is taken is 3-4 hours. The recommended dose is 3-4 liters of the solution, taken in portions of 200-300 ml every 10 minutes.
If you experience any side effects, you should consult your doctor.
It is not recommended for use in children.
Elderly patients with existing concomitant diseases are recommended to use the drug under medical supervision. The patient should inform the attending physician about all medications taken simultaneously with Endofalk.
