Pharmacological action
Enema Wedge is a saline laxative, the action of which is based on increasing water retention in the intestinal lumen by osmotic processes. The accumulation of fluid in the intestine leads to increased peristalsis and subsequent intestinal cleansing. The time of onset of the effect is 5-7 minutes after use.
Indications
- Constipation;
- preparation for X-ray examination of the abdominal organs;
- preparation for endoscopic examination of the rectum;
- preparation for surgical operations on the abdominal organs, childbirth.
Use during pregnancy and lactation
Clinical studies in pregnant women have not been conducted, so the use of the drug is not recommended, and it is possible for indications when the potential benefit outweighs the risk of use.
Contraindications
Intestinal obstruction, intestinal perforation, acute hemorrhoids, anal fissures, acute inflammatory and / or ulcerative lesions of the distal gastrointestinal tract, children’s age, individual hypersensitivity.

How to take, course of use and dosage
Rectally,120 ml (1 bottle).
Remove the protective film from the bottle before use. Unscrew the protective cap together with the tip. Remove the protective cap from the bottle. Wrap the tip together with the protective caps, lie on your left side, bend your right leg at the knee, remove the protective cap from the lubricated tip of the bottle and gently insert the tip into the anal opening, pressing with a small force in the direction of the navel.
Squeeze out the contents of the bottle and remove the tip from the anal opening. It is not necessary to squeeze out the contents to the end, since the bottle contains 15 ml of excess drug. It is recommended to keep the drug in the intestines for 8-10 minutes. The recommended body position should be maintained until the urge to empty occurs.
Overdose
Overdose with rectal use is unlikely. Diarrhea, impaired water and electrolyte balance, and dehydration may occur.
At the first sign of overdose, you should consult a doctor.
Treatment is symptomatic: hydration therapy, antidiarrheal drugs.
