Composition

bovine bile extract 25 mg;

Pharmacological action

Enzistal-replenishes the deficiency of pancreatic enzymes.

Normalizes digestion.

Facilitates the digestion of proteins, fats, carbohydrates, promotes their more complete absorption in the small intestine, has choleretic activity, stimulates the emulsification of fats and the breakdown of plant fiber, increases the activity of lipase, improves the absorption of fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, E, K).

Pharmacodynamics

Improves the functional state of the gastrointestinal tract and normalizes digestion, helps to cleanse the intestines of contents and gases.

Indications

• Insufficiency of external secretory function of the pancreas in cystic fibrosis, chronic pancreatitis; 
• after pancreatectomy;
• when the pancreatic duct is compressed by a tumor;
• steatorrhea in malabsorption syndrome;
• conditions after gastroectomy, dyspepsia in case of nutritional errors;
• in chronic diseases of the digestive system (especially in the elderly) and in patients who are on long-term bed rest, preparation for X-ray and ultrasound examination of the abdominal cavity.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity, biliary tract obstruction, jaundice.

Side effects

Nausea, spastic abdominal pain, diarrhea, painful sensations in the oral cavity and in the anal area (in children), increased uric acid concentration in the blood and urine, allergic reactions (sneezing, lacrimation, urticaria, bronchospasm).

Interaction

of Cimetidine and antacids enhances the effect. Reduces the bioavailability of iron supplements.

How to take, course of use and dosage

Inside, without chewing, during or immediately after a meal, with a small amount of liquid.

Adults-1-2 tablets 3 times a day. Higher doses are prescribed by your doctor. Children over 6 years of age (as prescribed by a doctor) – 1 tablet 2-3 times a day.

The duration of treatment can vary from several days (if the digestive process is disrupted due to dietary errors) to several months or years (if permanent replacement therapy is required).

Before X-ray examination or ultrasound — 2 tablets 2-3 times a day for 2-3 days before the study.
