Pharmacological action
The drug has an expectorant, anti-inflammatory effect. It is intended for topical use in diseases of the upper respiratory tract.
Indications
It is used in the complex therapy of diseases of the upper respiratory tract (bronchitis, inflammation of the nasal and pharyngeal mucosa).
Use during pregnancy and lactation
There is no experience of using the drug during pregnancy. During breastfeeding, do not apply the drug to the skin of the breast.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, bronchial asthma, whooping cough, false croup, hypersensitivity from the respiratory tract. For inhalation use-children under 5 years of age. For bathing and rubbing children under 2 months of age. Do not use the product for rubbing in the face area (especially the nose) for children under 2 years of age. Do not use the preparation for rubbing if the skin is damaged, there are skin diseases in the areas of its intended use, do not apply to the mucous membranes. Contraindications to the use of baths: uncompensated diseases of the cardiovascular system (arterial hypertension, heart failure, arrhythmia, angina pectoris), fever (over 38 °C) in infectious diseases.
Side effects
Within the organ-system classes, the following categories are used for the frequency of side effects: very common (≥ 1/10); common (≥ 1/100,1/10); infrequent (≥ 1/1,000,1/100); rare ( ≥ 1/10,000,1/1,000); very rare (1/10,000). Rarely possible allergic reactions, contact eczema, irritating cough, increased bronchospasm. Very rarely suffocation. Interaction
When used concomitantly with drugs that are metabolized in the liver, it is possible to weaken the intensity or shorten the time of action of the latter, since the components of eucalyptus oil, which is part of the drug, stimulate the liver’s enzyme systems.
How to take, course of use and dosage
For rubbing: In the absence of other prescriptions, it is recommended to apply 2-3 times a day a strip of emulsion with a length of about 3-5 cm (adults and children over 12 years), about 3-4 cm (children aged 2 to 11 years) on the skin of the chest and the interscapular area and rub it well.
Children aged from 2 months to 2 years are recommended to apply a strip of emulsion 2-3 cm long only on the interscapular area and rub it well.
For steam inhalations: In the absence of other prescriptions, it is recommended to add 2-3 times a day a strip of emulsion about 4-6 cm long (adults and children over 12 years), about 4 cm (children aged 5 to 11 years) to 1-2 liters of hot water, mix and breathe steam under a towel.
For baths (mainly used for children aged 2 months to 2 years): A strip of emulsion 8-10 cm long is added to 20 liters of water at a temperature of 36-37 °C (for children aged 2 months), or two strips of emulsion 10 cm long-for 40 liters (for children aged 2 years), bathe children for about 10 minutes.
Baths are repeated until the symptoms of the disease completely disappear. During the week, you can take baths 3-4 times. Additionally, if necessary,2-3 times a day, the emulsion is rubbed into the skin of the breast and the interscapular area. At such events, children are recommended to take bed rest.

Special instructions
The drug is intended only for inhalation and external use! In case of erroneous ingestion, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea may develop. In particularly severe cases, there may be: headache, dizziness, blurred consciousness, convulsions, suffocation, circulatory disorders, blood in the urine. If these symptoms occur, you should stop treatment and consult your doctor. If seizures develop,5-10 mg of diazepam is administered intravenously, or short-acting barbiturates are used, or the stomach is washed (30 g of sodium sulfate per 250 ml of water). After using the product, wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water. After taking a bath, you should not take a shower or rub yourself with a towel. Avoid contact with the eyes. Water baths can only be used after consulting a doctor. The drug does not affect the performance of potentially dangerous activities that require special influence and rapid reactions (driving a car and other vehicles, working with moving mechanisms, working as a dispatcher, operator, etc. ).
