Angle-closure glaucoma, atrophic rhinitis, arterial hypertension, tachycardia, severe atherosclerosis, hyperthyroidism, surgical interventions on the meninges (in the anamnesis), hypersensitivity to xylometazoline.

Vasoconstrictor for topical use in ENT practice. Alpha-adrenomimetic.
When applied to the mucous membranes, it causes vasoconstriction, which reduces local hyperemia and edema.
With rhinitis, it facilitates nasal breathing.
Pharmacokinetics
When applied topically, it is practically not absorbed, and plasma concentrations are so low that they cannot be determined by modern analytical methods.

With frequent and/or prolonged use — irritation and / or dryness of the nasopharyngeal mucosa, burning and paresthesia of the nasal mucosa, sneezing, hypersecretion of the nasal mucosa; swelling of the nasal mucosa, palpitation, tachycardia, arrhythmias, increased blood pressure, headache, vomiting, insomnia, visual impairment; depression.
Xylometazoline interacts with other drugs only when a resorptive effect is shown.
Other adrenomimetics may enhance the effect of xylometazoline.
Adrenoblockers and sympatholytics, BCC weaken its effect.
The drug enhances the hypertensive effect of tricyclic antidepressants and MAO inhibitors.
Intranasally. Adults and children over 6 years of age — 1 injection in each nasal passage 3-4 times a day. The course of treatment depends on the course of the disease and should not exceed 5-7 consecutive days.
After the end of the course of treatment, the drug can be prescribed again only after a few days.
Symptoms: decreased body temperature, bradycardia, increased blood pressure.
Treatment: symptomatic.
The drug Eucazoline Aqua should not be used continuously for long periods (more than 7 consecutive days).
Do not exceed the recommended dose of the drug, especially in the treatment of children and the elderly.
Use with caution when driving vehicles or performing other types of work that require increased concentration of attention and rapid psychomotor reactions.
