Pharmacological action

Fermathron is a viscoelastic preparation based on sodium hyaluronate, used for injection into the synovial space of the knee joint of patients suffering from mild or moderate osteoarthritis.

Indications

Fermathron is a viscoelastic drug that will help you quickly and effectively overcome joint pain.

If you are tormented by osteochondrosis of large joints, then this tool will be simply irreplaceable for you.

Use during pregnancy and lactation

The safety of using Fermathron plus during pregnancy and lactation has not been established.

The use of the drug during pregnancy and lactation is at the discretion of the orthopedic surgeon.

Contraindications

The presence of infected wounds, abrasions in the joint area.

It is not recommended to introduce the drug before stopping the phenomena of synovitis in view of dilution of the drug with synovial fluid and possible reduction of the therapeutic effect.

Side effects

• With intra-articular injection, temporary passing pain and swelling may occur.
• In patients with inflammatory osteoarthritis, synovial joint inflammation may temporarily increase after use of the drug.
• In rare cases, an inflammatory reaction is possible, which may or may not be related to the use of Fermathron.

Interaction

Compatibility of simultaneous intra-articular use of Fermathron plus with other substances has not been tested.

Therefore, mixing or simultaneous use of other intra-articular drugs is not recommended.

How to take, course of use and dosage

The drug Fermathron is administered intraarticularly (in the joint cavity)by a traumatologist.

A single dose is 2 ml of 1% sodium hyaluronate solution, the drug is administered 1 time / week, the course of treatment consists of 3-4 injections.

A positive result is visible after the first use of the drug, the therapeutic effect persists for a year.

Special instructions

In order to complete the course of treatment with Fermathron, there is no need for hospitalization.

Intra-articular injections of the drug can be made by a polyclinic doctor on an outpatient basis.

During the treatment with Fermathron, you can go about your daily activities.
