Composition

Mannitol, crosscaramellose (carriers), amorphous silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate, stearic acid (anti-caking agents), calcium L-methylfolate. Contains the sweetener mannitol, which can have a laxative effect if consumed excessively.

Adults should take 1 tablet daily. The duration of admission is at least 1 month. If necessary, the procedure can be repeated.

Description

Folate is a naturally occurring, water-soluble compound based on folic acid that makes up vitamin B9 in general. They are found in leafy greens, green vegetables, legumes, etc. The synthetic form of vitamin B9 is the well-known folic acid.

Folate is essential in the basic metabolic processes that ensure the physiological division and normal growth of all cells in the body. So, folate regulates the concentration of the amino acid homocysteine in the blood, which, in case of excess, corrodes the walls of blood vessels and causes the development of atherosclerosis. A lack of folate also adversely affects the main hematopoietic organ of a person-the bone marrow, provoking the development of anemia. Folate levels are especially important for all women planning pregnancy, and it is recommended to take this vitamin several months before conception. This is necessary in order to have time to restore the protective level of folate involved in the formation of the fetal neural tube — it is from this tube that the child’s spinal cord and brain will later develop.

The neural tube begins to be laid in the first days after conception: if there is a lack of folate in the body by this time, this can lead to neural tube defects. In the future, this is fraught with the appearance of serious malformations – hydrocephalus, anencephaly (absence of the brain), delayed mental and physical development, spina bifida.
