Hypersensitivity, children’s age (up to 5 years).
With caution.
Diabetes mellitus, severe CHF, CHD, cardiac arrhythmias, grade III AV block, prolongation of the Q-T interval (Q-T corrected > 0.44 s), HOCMP, thyrotoxicosis, pregnancy, lactation.
1 capsule contains formoterol fumarate 12 mcg.
1 capsule contains formoterol fumarate 12 mcg.
Beta-adrenostimulating agent, with selectivity towards beta-2-adrenergic receptors of the smooth muscles of the bronchi, has a bronchodilator effect.
Foradil is effective for the prevention and relief of bronchospasm caused by allergens, exercise, histamine, and methacholine (diagnostic test). Foradil has tocolytic properties.
The onset of action is 1-3 minutes after inhalation, the duration of the bronchodilator effect is 12 hours.

Adverse reactions are distributed according to the frequency of occurrence. The following criteria were used to assess the frequency: very common (≥10%); common (≥1%, Allergic reactions: very rare – hypersensitivity reactions, such as hypotension, urticaria, angioedema, pruritus, exanthema.
From the central nervous system: often-headache, tremor; sometimes-agitation, anxiety, nervousness, insomnia, dizziness.
From the cardiovascular system: often-palpitation; sometimes-tachycardia; very rarely-peripheral edema.
From the respiratory system: sometimes-bronchospasm.
From the digestive system: very rarely-nausea; distortion of taste sensations.
From the musculoskeletal system: sometimes-muscle cramps, myalgia.
Local reactions: sometimes-irritation of the mucous membrane of the pharynx and larynx.
Drugs with adrenostimulating activity, MAO inhibitors, tricyclic antidepressants increase the risk of side effects from the cardiovascular system.
Xanthine derivatives, corticosteroids, and diuretics increase the likelihood of hypokalemic action of the drug.
Quinidine, disopyramide, procainamide, phenothiazines, antihistamines, tricyclic antidepressants increase the risk of ventricular arrhythmias. Beta-blockers (including in the form of eye drops) partially or completely block the action.
Foradil is used by inhalation.
Adults with bronchospastic syndrome — 12-24 mcg 2 times a day, children from 5 years and older-12 mcg (no more) 2 times a day; if necessary, an additional 1-2 capsules can be used; to prevent bronchospasm caused by physical exertion or exposure to a known allergen, inhale 1 dose (12 mcg) approximately 15 minutes before work or contact with the specified factor; in severe cases of bronchial asthma, inhaling 2 doses (24 mcg) may be required.
Symptoms: nausea, vomiting, headache, tremor, drowsiness, ventricular arrhythmia, decreased blood pressure, metabolic acidosis, hypokalemia, hyperglycemia.
Treatment: symptomatic.
Patients should be trained by a doctor or medical staff in the use of the inhaler. Patients treated with corticosteroid inhalation combined with aerosol should not discontinue corticosteroid treatment.
Patients with diabetes mellitus are shown to monitor the concentration of glucose in the blood.
In patients with severe asthma, the risk of hypokalemia increases with hypoxia and concomitant therapy, so they need regular monitoring of K+ in the blood serum.
The possibility of use in young children depends on the individual ability of the child to use the inhaler correctly (including breathing techniques), it is used only under adult supervision.
Tremors or anxiety that occur during treatment with beta-adrenostimulants may affect the patient’s ability to drive.
Capsules with powder for inhalation.
In a dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 25 °C
