Furacilin ointment is an antimicrobial agent derived from nitrofuran.
Active against gram-positive bacteria: Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., Bacillus anthracis; gram-negative bacteria: Escherichia coli, Shigella spp., Salmonella spp. (including Salmonella paratyphi).
Hypersensitivity, bleeding, allergodermatosis.
Allergic reactions. When applied externally-dermatitis.
