Pharmacological action

Gentos is a complex homeopathic medicine.

It has an antiproliferative effect, affects the mechanical component of dysuria in benign prostatic hyperplasia, regulates the smooth muscle tone of the detrusor and the bladder wall, increasing its reservoir-evacuation function, and affects the dynamic component of dysuria in prostatic hyperplasia.

Improves urodynamics and uroflowmetric parameters.

Gentos has an anti-inflammatory effect, improves microcirculation in the tissues of the genitourinary system. Moderately increases cavernous blood flow, restores erectile function in chronic prostatitis.

Indications

Comprehensive treatment of acute and chronic prostate diseases (benign prostatic hyperplasia, prostatitis) – to reduce the symptoms of these diseases; treatment of diseases of the bladder (cystitis, atony of the bladder).

Use during pregnancy and lactation

Use of Gentos during pregnancy and lactation – only as prescribed and under the supervision of a doctor.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug; children under 12 years of age (due to insufficient clinical data).

Use with caution (as directed by your doctor): pregnancy; lactation; thyroid diseases.

Side effects

Rarely:  increased salivation.

The patient should be informed that if other side effects occur, consult a doctor.

Interaction

No clinically significant drug interaction of Gentos with other medicinal products has been established.

How to take, course of use and dosage

Inside,30 minutes before or 1 hour after a meal, tablets-keep under the tongue until completely absorbed.

Chronic prostatitis:  adults — 1 tablet 3 times a day. The course of treatment is 3 months.

When exposed to provoking factors — 2-week preventive courses.

Benign prostatic hyperplasia (adenoma) :  adults — 1 tablet each 3 times a day. The course of treatment is 3 months with the transition to maintenance therapy — 1-2 times a day, depending on the severity of dysuria.

Cystitis:  adults and adolescents — 1 tablet each 3 times a day for 1-2 weeks (for acute cystitis) or 3 times a day for 3 months (for chronic cystitis). After that, if necessary, you can switch to maintenance therapy-1-2 times a day.

Urinary disorders (frequent urination, nocturnal urination, incomplete emptying of the bladder):  adults and adolescents — 1 tablet each 3 times a day for 2 weeks (for acute disorders) or 3 times a day for 3 months (for chronic disorders). After that, if necessary, you can switch to maintenance therapy-1-2 times a day.

In acute cases, it can be taken every 0.5-1 hour until the condition improves, but no more than 8 times, after which it can be taken 3 times a day.

Overdose

No overdose cases have been reported so far.

Special instructions

With caution, the drug should be prescribed for diseases of the thyroid gland.

The patient should be informed that a doctor should be consulted for prostate diseases.

Since the preparation Gentos in the form of homeopathic drops contains natural plant components, during storage there may be a slight turbidity of the solution or a weakening of the smell and taste, which does not lead to a decrease in the effectiveness of the drug.
