Composition

Active ingredients:

standardized Ginkgo Biloba leaf extract,

organic selenium in the composition of selenium-concentrating strains of spirulina,

Pharmacological action

Biologically active substances of ginkgo biloba leaf extract help to strengthen and increase the elasticity of the vascular wall, improve the rheological properties of blood and, as a result, improve microcirculation, supply the brain and peripheral tissues with oxygen and glucose.

The drug improves cerebral blood circulation, has cerebroprotective properties.

Reduces the permeability of the vascular wall (decongestant effect-both at the level of the brain and at the periphery).

The drug normalizes metabolism in cells, prevents aggregation of red blood cells, inhibits platelet activation factor. Prevents an increase in the fibrinolytic activity of the blood.

Prevents the formation of free radicals and lipid peroxidation of cell membranes. It has a dose-dependent regulating effect on the vascular system, dilates small arteries, increases the tone of veins, regulates blood filling of blood vessels.

The drug increases the body’s resistance to hypoxia, especially brain tissue, and inhibits the development of traumatic or toxic brain edema.

Indications

• Dyscirculatory encephalopathy (consequences of stroke, traumatic brain injury, senile age), manifested by attention and/or memory disorders, decreased intellectual abilities, anxiety, fear, sleep disorders; 
• dementia, including Alzheimer’s disease;
• to improve memory and attention in young people; 
• sensorineural disorders (dizziness, tinnitus, hypo-acusia), senile macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy;
• asthenic conditions: psychogenic, neurotic, due to traumatic brain damage; 
• disorders of peripheral blood circulation and microcirculation, including arteriopathy of the lower extremities, Raynaud’s syndrome.

Contraindications

• Individual intolerance to food components.
• Pregnancy.
• Breast-feeding.

Side effects

Dyspeptic disorders, headache, dizziness, allergic reactions.

How to take, course of use and dosage

Ginkgo Biloba C is prescribed orally, during or after meals,2 or 3 times a day, washed down with water. Capsules should be swallowed whole.

Dyscirculatory encephalopathy:  120-160 mg of standardized extract per day.

Asthenic disorders:  240 mg per day.

Dementia:  120-240 mg per day.

Disorders of peripheral blood circulation and microcirculation:  120-160 mg per day.

In other cases:  120-160 mg per day.

On the recommendation of a doctor, the daily dose may be increased.

The course of treatment is from 3 to 6 months. Clinical improvement is observed after approximately 4 weeks of treatment. With prolonged use, the positive effect remains. A second course is possible after consulting a doctor.
