Composition

One tablet contains: active ingredients: gramicidin C dihydrochloride-1.60 mg (based on gramicidin C-1.50 mg); cetylpyridinium chloride monohydrate-1.05 mg (based on cetylpyridinium chloride-1.00 mg); excipients: colloidal silicon dioxide -5.00 mg, talc -60.00 mg, citric acid monohydrate -36.00 mg, aspartame -12.00 mg, raspberry flavor -3.60 mg, sorbitol -1055.75 mg, magnesium stearate -25.00 mg.

Clinical pharmacology

Combined drug for the symptomatic treatment of infectious and inflammatory diseases of the throat and oral cavity. The composition of the drug includes the antimicrobial agent gramicidin C and an antiseptic agent-cetylpyridinium chloride. The mechanism of action of gramicidin C is associated with an increase in the permeability of the cytoplasmic membrane of a microbial cell, which violates its stability and causes death. Gramicidin C has an antibacterial (bactericidal) effect against a wide range of gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms. Cetylpyridinium chloride is an antiseptic that inhibits the growth and reproduction of pathogens of infectious diseases of the oral cavity. The drug has an antimicrobial effect, reduces inflammation, softens unpleasant sensations in the throat, facilitates swallowing, causes hypersalivation when absorbed, which contributes to the mechanical cleaning of the oral cavity and pharynx from microorganisms.

Indications

Symptomatic treatment of infectious and inflammatory diseases of the mouth and throat, accompanied by sore throat and oral cavity:

Contraindications

Side effects

Interaction

How to take, course of use and dosage

Locally. It is applied after meals, by resorption in the mouth, without chewing. Immediately after using the drug, you should refrain from eating and drinking for 1-2 hours.

Dosage for children from 4 to 12 years:  take 1 tablet 4 times a day. The maximum daily dose is 4 tablets.

Dosage for children over 12 years of age and adults:  take 2 tablets (one after the other for 20-30 minutes) 4 times a day. The maximum daily dose is 8 tablets. In the absence of a therapeutic effect within 7 days of taking the drug, it is recommended to consult a doctor.

Overdose

Symptoms:  taking the drug in doses exceeding the recommended ones may cause gastrointestinal disorders due to changes in the bacterial microflora: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea.

Treatment:  you should stop taking the drug and consult a doctor.

Description

Tablets are white or almost white in color, round, biconvex, with an embossed ” GR ” on one side and the smell of raspberries. Minor marbling is allowed.

Special instructions

Grammidine for children should not be taken in the presence of open wounds in the oral cavity, since cetylpyridinium chloride slows down wound healing.

Influence on the ability to drive motor vehicles and manage mechanisms

The drug does not affect the performance of potentially dangerous activities that require special attention and quick reactions (driving a car and other vehicles, working with moving mechanisms, working as a dispatcher and operator, etc. ).

Form of production

Tablets for resorption of 1.5 mg + 1 mg. 6 or 9 tablets in a contour cell package or in a contour cell package with perforation made of polyvinyl chloride film or polyvinyl chloride/polyvinylidene chloride film or a combined material (poly-amide/aluminum/polyvinyl chloride) and aluminum foil. 2 or 4 contour packs of 6 tablets or 2 contour packs of 9 tablets together with the instructions for use are placed in a cardboard pack.
