Composition

Each tablet contains:  

Active ingredients:

gramicidin C-1.5 mg,

lidocaine hydrochloride-10 mg;

Auxiliary substances:

eucalyptus oil,

citric acid,

menthol,

aspartame,

mannitol,

hydroxypropylcellulose clucel (hyprolose),

calcium stearate.

Pharmacological action

of the pharmaceutical group:

 A drug with an antibacterial and local anesthetic effect for topical use in ENT practice.

Pharmaceutical action:

Grammidine with anesthetic neo is a combined drug for the treatment of infectious and inflammatory diseases of the throat and oral cavity. The composition of the drug includes the antimicrobial agent gramicidin C, a local anesthetic (analgesic) agent-oxybuprocaine and an antiseptic agent-cetylpyridinium chloride.

The mechanism of action of gramicidin C is associated with an increase in the permeability of the cytoplasmic membrane of a microbial cell, which violates its stability and causes cell death. Gramicidin C has a pronounced antimicrobial effect against pathogens of infectious diseases of the oral cavity and pharynx.

The anesthetic oxybuprocaine has a local analgesic effect on the mucous membrane of the mouth and throat. Causes a reversible blockade of the propagation and conduction of nerve impulses through the axons of nerve cells.

Cetylpyridinium chloride is an antiseptic. Inhibits the growth and reproduction of pathogens of infectious diseases of the oral cavity. The drug has an analgesic effect, reduces inflammation, has an antimicrobial effect, softens unpleasant sensations in the throat, facilitates swallowing, causes hypersalivation when absorbed, which contributes to the mechanical cleaning of the oral cavity and pharynx from microorganisms.

Indications

Infectious and inflammatory diseases of the mouth and throat, accompanied by severe pain syndrome:  

• acute pharyngitis,

• tonsillitis,

• sore throat,

• periodontitis,

• gingivitis,

• stomatitis.

Use during pregnancy and lactation

It is not recommended to use the drug during pregnancy (I) trimester. Breast-feeding should be stopped while taking the drug.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, lactation period.

Use with caution during pregnancy.

Side effects

During the use of the drug, due to its anesthetic effect, a temporary loss of tongue sensitivity is possible.

In some cases, allergic reactions to the components of the drug are possible.

Interaction

Grammidine ® with neo anesthetic enhances the effects of other local and systemic antimicrobial agents.

How to take, course of use and dosage

It is applied after meals, by resorption in the mouth without chewing.

Immediately after using the drug, you should refrain from eating and drinking for 1-2 hours.

Dosage for adults and children over 12 years of age: 1 tablet 3-4 times a day.

Dosage for children from 4 to 12 years: 1 tablet 1-2 times a day.

In the absence of a therapeutic effect within 7 days of taking the drug, it is recommended to consult a doctor.
