Composition

>1 ml of the solution contains at least 10,000 IU of recombinant alpha-2 human interferon.

Pharmaceutical action:  

The drug has an immunomodulatory, anti-inflammatory and antiviral effect.

Pharmacokinetics:

 With intranasal use, the concentration of the Active ingredient reached in the blood is significantly lower than the detection limit (the limit for determining Interferon alfa-2b is 1-2 IU / ml) and has no clinical significance.

Indications

Prevention and treatment of influenza and acute respiratory viral infections in children from birth and adults, including pregnant women.

Use during pregnancy and lactation

It is allowed for use during the entire period of pregnancy.

Contraindications

-Individual intolerance to interferon preparations and components that make up the Grippferon preparation. – Severe forms of allergic diseases.

How to take, course of use and dosage

At the first signs of the disease, instill in the nose for 5 days:

• children under 1 year – 1 drop in each nostril 5 times a day (single dose of 1,000 IU daily dose of 5 000 IU);
• children 1 to 3 years – 2 drops in each nasal passage 3-4 times a day (single dose of 2000 ME, daily – 6000 – 8000 ME);
• children from 3 to 14 years – 2 drops in each nasal passage 4-5 times a day (single dose of 2000 ME, daily dose 8000-10000 ME);
• adults – 3 drops in each nasal passage 5-6 times a day (single dose of 3 000 ME, daily dose 15 000 – 18 000 ME).

For the purpose of prevention (acute respiratory viral infections and influenza): in case of contact with the patient and / or hypothermia, the drug is instilled in the age-related dosage 2 times a day for 5-7 days. If necessary, preventive courses are repeated; with a seasonal increase in morbidity, the drug is instilled in the age-related dosage in the morning after 1-2 days.

After each instillation, it is recommended to massage the wings of the nose with your fingers for several minutes to evenly distribute the drug in the nasal cavity.

Special instructions

Simultaneous use of intranasal vasoconstrictors is not recommended due to the increased drying effect on the nasal mucosa.
