Pharmacological action

The natural physiological microflora of the intestine can be significantly disrupted by external influences such as antibiotic therapy, radiation, gastric surgery, as well as due to inappropriate and unusual nutrition, water changes, climate change and other conditions.

Hilak forte regulates the balance of intestinal microflora and normalizes its composition. Due to the content of metabolic products of normal microflora in the preparation, Hilak forte promotes the restoration of normal intestinal microflora by biological means and allows you to preserve the physiological and biological functions of the intestinal mucosa.

The biosynthetic lactic acid and its buffer salts included in the preparation restore the normal value of acidity in the gastrointestinal tract, regardless of whether the patient has increased or decreased acidity.

Against the background of accelerating the development of normal intestinal symbionts, the natural synthesis of B and K vitamins is normalized under the action of Hilak forte. The short-chain volatile fatty acids contained in the preparation ensure the restoration of damaged intestinal microflora in infectious diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, stimulate the regeneration of epithelial cells of the intestinal wall, restore the disturbed water-electrolyte balance in the intestinal lumen.

There is evidence that Hilac forte enhances the body’s defense functions by stimulating the immune response.

When using Hilac forte, there is an acceleration of salmonella excretion in children after salmonella enteritis, which is due to the stimulation of the growth of acidophilic anaerobic flora and its subsequent antagonistic effect on salmonella.

Indications

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.

Hilak forte is well tolerated by patients of any age.

No side effects have been observed to date.

Possible allergic reactions (skin rash, pruritus, urticaria); constipation, diarrhea.

Interaction

When used concomitantly with antacids, it is possible to neutralize lactic acid, which is part of the Hilak forte preparation.

How to take, course of use and dosage

Inside, before or during a meal, diluting with a small amount of liquid (excluding milk),3 times a day.

Adults — 40-60 drops per 1 dose, children-20-40 drops, infants-15-30 drops.

After the condition improves, the daily dose can be reduced by half.

Overdose

No special measures are required, except for routine medical supervision.

Special instructions

It is not recommended to take the drug simultaneously with milk and dairy products.
