Composition

Pharmacological action

Product of plant origin. The calming (sedative) effect of hop cones is associated with the bitter substance lupulin. A complex of biologically active substances (flavonoids, hormones, vitamins, etc. ) determines the anti-inflammatory, capillary-strengthening, hyposensitizing and analgesic properties of hop cones. In addition, galena preparations of hop cones have regenerative, bactericidal and fungicidal properties. Antimicrobial activity is explained by the presence of the bitter acids humulone and lupulone. There are data on the estrogenic activity of an extract from hop cones.

Indications

Recommended in folk medicine: for nervous fatigue, mild depression, neurosis, headache, dizziness, insomnia, gastritis, painful irritations of the bladder, cystitis, urethritis, kidney, liver and gallbladder diseases, as well as as a means of strengthening the cardiovascular system (especially with myocardial weakness); for tuberculosis, flu; for metabolic disorders, intestinal disorders; as a general strengthening agent that enhances the secretory and motor function of the stomach; for paralysis, gout, rheumatism, nephritis (in the form of baths). Externally: for bruises, infiltrates, baldness; for the prevention of wrinkles; for wounds and ulcers, neuralgia, psoriasis and furunculosis.

Recommendations for use

The prepared infusion (1 tablespoon of raw materials per 200 ml of water) is taken orally for 1/4 cup 3 times a day; externally, a gauze bandage is moistened with infusion and applied to the affected area.

Contraindications

Individual intolerance to the components of the product, pregnancy and lactation.

Side effects

After ingestion: nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, headache, fatigue (in case of overdose).

Storage conditions

Store in a dry place, protected from light, at a temperature not exceeding 25 °C. The prepared infusion should be stored in a cool place for no more than 2 days. It can be used as part of monotherapy and combination therapy.
