Indications

Symptomatic treatment of acute diarrhea in adults. If etiotropic treatment is possible, Hydrasec can be used as an adjunctive therapy.

How to take, course of use and dosage

For adults over the age of 18. For oral use. The first capsule is taken regardless of the time of day. Then take one capsule three times a day before meals. Treatment should be continued until the stool normalizes (normal feces appear up to twice), but no more than 7 days. It is not recommended to use racecadotril for a long time. If there is no improvement after 3 days of treatment, you should consult a doctor.

Description

Pathogens that cause acute diarrhea (viruses, bacteria, toxins) damage intestinal cells, which leads to a violation of the process of water absorption by the body. As a result, excess fluid from our body is released into the intestines, diluting the stool.

Racecadotril, the Active ingredient of Hydrasec, protects special peptides in the intestine that regulate the release of fluid into the intestinal lumen, prolonging their action and thereby preventing dilution of the stool. Racecadotril begins to have an antidiarrheal effect as early as 30 minutes after ingestion, without slowing down intestinal motility.

Hydrasek is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of acute diarrhea of any etiology (viruses, bacteria, toxins)and does not require long-term treatment.

Hydrasec is compatible with other medicinal products. * As an adjunctive treatment for acute bacterial diarrhea, racecadotril may be used in combination with antibiotics. 2

Hydrasek effectively eliminates the symptoms of acute diarrhea in older people, no dose adjustment is required for older patients.
