Composition

• Outer shell of the bandage: knitted polypropylene fabric
• Layer (not in contact with the wound): protective polypropylene film
• Absorbent layer: superabsorbent polyacrylate (SAP) embedded in fluffed cellulose and polypropylene fibers, activated with Ringer’s solution, with the addition of 0.1% polyhexamethylene biguanide (PHMB) by weight
• Layer (in contact with the wound): silicone strips

Recommendations for use

• The dressing is designed to treat flat wounds
• Adjust the dressing according to the size and shape of the wound so that it protrudes 2 cm beyond the edges of the wound
• Open the sterile package, remove the bandage and apply it to the wound so that the green marking remains at the top, and the bandage itself is securely in contact with the wound surface and slightly covers the edges of the wound
• Fix the bandage with a bandage or plaster
• The dressing is changed after 72 hours

If the wound needs too much fluid, the dressing may dry out prematurely. In this case, you should immediately change the bandage. In most cases, the bandage can be removed from the wound without any problems. In the event that the pad does not move well away from the wound, it is necessary to moisten the dressing with Ringer’s solution before removing it and remove it after a few minutes.

Activated with Ringer’s solution, superabsorbent polyacrylate (SAP) is bound to the antibacterial substance polyhexamethylene biguanide (PHMB).

The layer in contact with the wound is a knitted polypropylene fabric with applied silicone strips, which additionally counteract the adhesion of the dressing to the wound.

The waterproof polypropylene film on the outside of the dressing prevents the dressing from drying out prematurely, so that moisture can flow to the wound for up to 3 days.
