Composition
Active ingredient: Hypericum perforatum With 30 Excipients: sucrose, lactose.
Pharmacological action
Pharmacological group: Homeopathic monocomponent preparation of plant originpharmacological properties: St. John’s wort is a herbaceous plant with leaves covered with numerous small translucent secretory pockets that resemble perforations in the light; this probably explains the Latin name. Hypericum perforatum has a sedative effect, probably related to the synergistic effect of certain groups of substances (flavonoids, naphthodianthrons); an antidepressant and anxiolytic effect associated with the effect on neurotransmitters and melatonin synthesis; an antibacterial effect due to the presence of essential oil and hyperforin. Matrix tincture of St. John’s wort increases the activity of cytochrome P450 (CYP) enzymes; thus, it can accelerate the metabolism of certain medicinal substances.
