human recombinant Interferon alfa-2b 10k IU;

Auxiliary substances:

aluminum (in the form of hydroxide) – 14 mg;

polyvinyl alcohol-75 mg;

purified water up to 1 g

Pharmacological action

Infagel-interferon. It is a highly purified recombinant protein with a molecular weight of 19,300 daltons. Obtained from an Escherichia coli clone by hybridizing bacterial plasmids with the human leukocyte gene encoding interferon synthesis. Unlike interferon, alpha-2A has arginine at position 23.

It has an antiviral effect, which is due to interaction with specific membrane receptors and the induction of RNA and, ultimately, protein synthesis. The latter, in turn, interfere with the normal reproduction of the virus or its release.

It has an immunomodulatory activity, which is associated with the activation of phagocytosis, stimulation of the formation of antibodies and lymphokines.

It has an antiproliferative effect on tumor cells.

Indications

-treatment of herpetic lesions of the skin and mucous membranes: herpes simplex and herpes zoster; recurrent herpes of the face, genitals, gingivitis, herpetic stomatitis—

– prevention of influenza and ARVI in adults who have had contact with patients with influenza and ARVI.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity, pregnancy, lactation.

Side effects

The drug has no side effects.

Interaction

For the treatment of infective-inflammatory and viral diseases, the drug can be used in combination therapy with antibacterial drugs, glucocorticoids, interferon inducers and antiviral drugs.

How to take, course of use and dosage

In the treatment of herpetic lesions, the gel is applied to the affected areas of the skin and mucous membranes with a muddy layer 2 times a day at intervals of 12 hours and dried for 10-15 minutes to form a protective film. The duration of the course of treatment is from 3 to 5 days, until the complete disappearance of violations of the integrity of the skin and mucous membranes.

To prevent influenza and ARVI during periods of rising morbidity, the drug is applied to the nasal mucosa 2 times a day with an interval of 12 hours during the first and third weeks of the course, and a break is taken in the second week.

Special instructions

Avoid getting Infagel gel in your eyes.

Storage conditions

Store in a dry place, protected from light, at a temperature of 0-10 °C and humidity of 60-80%.
