INTEX compression bandages of low stretchability (popularly also called short stretchability) are prescribed when treating severe stages of lymphovenous insufficiency, post-thrombotic disease, acute and chronic lymphostasis, deep vein thrombosis and trophic ulcers, with complications of varicose veins, lymphedema. Bandages are recommended for use in sports when bandages need to be supported, as well as they are often used to fix joints after injuries, during joint diseases and to prevent post-traumatic joint edema. Bandages of low stretchability are capable of exerting pressure equivalent to class 2,3 and 4 compression knitwear, it depends on how the bandaging was performed and by what method. Compression bandages provide pressure on any part of the body. During movement, the compression effect of bandages increases (active compression), at rest-comes to the initial one, laid down when applying the bandage.
