Composition

1 ml of nasal spray solution contains:

Active ingredient:

framycetin sulfate – 12.5 mg (8 thous. IU).

Auxiliary substances:

methyl parahydroxybenzoate,

sodium chloride,

citric acid,

distilled water.

Pharmacological action

Pharmacological action – broad-spectrum antibacterial, bactericidal, antibacterial.

Damages the cytoplasmic membrane of a microbial cell, disorganizes the flow of metabolites inside it with rapid subsequent death.

Framycetin

is a bactericidal antibiotic for topical application from the group of aminoglycosides.

The concentration of framycetin achieved with topical application ensures its bactericidal activity against gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms, pathogens of infectious processes in the upper respiratory tract.

Indications

As part of combination therapy for infectious and inflammatory diseases of the upper respiratory tract, including:

• Rhinitis.
• Rhinopharyngitis.
• Sinusitis (in the absence of damage to the septum).

Prevention and treatment of inflammatory processes after surgical interventions.

Use during pregnancy and lactation

Adequate and strictly controlled clinical studies of the safety of using the drug Isofra during pregnancy and lactation (breastfeeding) have not been conducted.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to framycetin and other aminoglycoside antibiotics.

Side effects

Allergic reactions:  in isolated cases – skin manifestations.

Interaction

No clinically significant interactions of the drug Isofra with other drugs were detected.

How to take, course of use and dosage

For adults:  assign 1 injection in each nostril 4-6 times a day.

For children:  assign 1 injection in each nostril 3 times a day.

The average duration of therapy is 7 days.

When used, the bottle should be kept in an upright position.

Overdose

Due to the low degree of absorption into the systemic circulation, overdose is unlikely.

Special instructions

If the therapeutic effect is absent or weak within 7 days of treatment, the drug should be discontinued.
