Action

Combined antifungal drug.

Ketoconazole is a synthetic derivative of imidazole-dioxalan.

It has an antifungal effect.

Active against dermatophytes (Trichophyton spp., Epydermophyton spp., Microsporum spp. ), yeast and yeast-like fungi (Candida spp., Malassezia futur /Pityrosporum ovale/).

Zinc pyrithione has an antiproliferative effect on epithelial cells; it has some activity against Pityrosporum ovale and Pityrosporum orbiculare, which cause excessive skin peeling.

The drug quickly reduces the peeling and itching of the scalp associated with dandruff and seborrheic dermatitis.

When applied externally, the absorption of active substances of the drug through the skin is insignificant. With prolonged use of the drug, the concentrations of ketoconazole and zinc pyrithione in the blood are not determined.

Special instructions

When using shampoo, avoid contact with the eyes. If shampoo gets into your eyes, rinse them with water.

When using the drug in patients using topical corticosteroids, in order to avoid withdrawal syndrome, they should continue to be used against the background of using Keto plus shampoo, followed by gradual withdrawal of corticosteroids for 2-3 weeks.

In rare cases, when using Keto plus shampoo, there was an increase in hair loss.
