Active ingredient:
ketoprofen 2.5 g,
excipients:
propylene glycol,
95% ethyl alcohol (ethanol),
carbomer 940 (carboxyvinyl polymer),
triethanolamine (trollamine),
benzalkonium chloride,
purified water.
Pharmacological action
Ketoprofen has local anti-inflammatory, anti-exudative and analgesic effects. In the form of a gel, it provides a local therapeutic effect on affected joints, tendons, ligaments, and muscles.
With joint syndrome, it causes a reduction in joint pain at rest and during movement, a decrease in morning stiffness and swelling of the joints. It has no catabolic effect on articular cartilage.
Pharmacokinetics
When applied on the skin, it is absorbed slowly. Practically does not accumulate in the body. The bioavailability of the gel is about 5%.
Indications
- for diseases of the musculoskeletal system: rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, osteoarthritis of the peripheral joints and spine, rheumatic soft tissue lesions
- Muscle pain of rheumatic and non-rheumatic origin
- Traumatic soft tissue injuries without skin damage
Use during pregnancy and lactation
Ketoprofen should not be used in the third trimester of pregnancy.
There is no experience of using ketoprofen preparations during lactation.
Use in the first and second trimesters is only possible after consulting a doctor.
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to ketoprofen or other components of the drug, acetylsalicylic acid or other NSAIDs,
- “aspirin” asthma,
- pregnancy (third trimester),
- lactation period,
- children (up to 6 years),
- violation of the integrity of the skin,
- wet dermatoses,
- eczema.
With caution: hepatic porphyria (exacerbation), erosive and ulcerative lesions of the gastrointestinal tract, severe liver and kidney function disorders, chronic heart failure, bronchial asthma, the elderly, children under 12 years of age, pregnancy I and II trimester.

How to take, course of use and dosage
The drug is applied externally. Once use 3-5 cm of the drug (the volume of a large cherry).
Depending on the size of the damaged area, apply the gel 2-3 times a day or according to the doctor’s instructions, gently rubbing until completely absorbed.
The duration of treatment without consulting a doctor should not exceed 10 days.
Overdose
Extremely low systemic absorption of the active components of the drug with external use makes overdose almost impossible.
Special instructions
The drug should only be applied to undamaged skin.
Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. To avoid signs of hypersensitivity and photosensitivity, it is recommended to avoid exposing the skin to sunlight during the course of treatment.
