Composition

1 ml (1.26 g) of syrup contains: Active ingredient: thyme herb extract liquid-150.00 mg. The ratio of thyme herb to extractant is 1: 2-2.5. Extractant: ammonia solution 10% (wt/wt), glycerin 85%, ethyl alcohol 90% (v / v), water-in the ratio 1: 20: 70: 109. Auxiliary ingredients: rose oil, honey flavor, sodium benzoate, concentrated cherry juice, invert syrup 74/95, liquid glucose, sucrose solution 67%, citric acid monohydrate, purified water.

Pharmacological action

Pharmacotherapy group: Expectorant of plant originath: R. 05. C. A Expectorants Pharmacodynamics : The drug has an expectorant, anti-inflammatory, bronchodilator, antimicrobial effect, helps to reduce the viscosity of sputum and accelerate its evacuation.

Indications

As an expectorant in the complex therapy of inflammatory diseases of the upper respiratory tract, accompanied by a cough with difficult-to-separate sputum.

Use during pregnancy and lactation

The drug is not recommended during pregnancy and lactation.

Contraindications

Increased individual sensitivity to thyme or any other plant from the Lamiaceae family, as well as to other components of the drug, congenital fructose intolerance, glucose-fructose malabsorption, insufficiency of sucrose and isomaltase enzymes, chronic heart failure (in the stage of decompensation), severe liver and kidney function disorders, children (up to 6 months). Due to the content of ethyl alcohol in the preparation, this dosage form (syrup) should not be used in patients with alcoholism. With caution: Patients with liver diseases, brain diseases and injuries, epilepsy, and children over the age of 6 months should take the syrup with caution and only after consulting a doctor.

Interaction

Simultaneous use with antitussive medications, as well as with medications that reduce the formation of sputum, is not recommended, as this makes it difficult to cough up liquefied sputum.

How to take, course of use and dosage

If the doctor has not prescribed a different dosage regimen:

• adults and adolescents administered orally after a meal 2 teaspoons of syrup or 2 mini-pack (10 ml) 3 times a day;
• children from 6 to 12 years: 1 teaspoon or 1 mini-pack (5 ml) 3 times a day;
• children from 2 to 6 years: 1 teaspoon or 1 mini-pack (5 ml) 2 times a day;
• children 1 to 2 years – 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 ml) 3 times a day;
• children from 6 to 12 months – 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 ml) 2 times a day.

Cough syrup should be taken at regular intervals throughout the day.

The duration of use of the drug is determined by the therapeutic necessity and duration of the disease.

Use the drug in children aged 6 months to 4 years should be prescribed and under the supervision of a doctor.

Due to the fact that sediment formation is possible, it is necessary to shake the bottle or knead the mini-bag between your fingers before use.

Overdose

No cases of intoxication have been reported when taking Lasolvan ® PHYTO syrup.

Special instructions

Lasolvan ® PHYTO syrup contains 4.9% by volume of ethyl alcohol.

Absolute ethyl alcohol content in grams in maximum single and daily doses of the drug
