Product description

Lysobact® is a local antiseptic for the treatment of sore throat, contains the protective enzyme lysozyme and vitamin B6. It has a targeted antiviral and antibacterial effect, helps to increase the nonspecific immune protection of the oral cavity and throat. Suitable for children from 3 years of age and adults, it can be taken by pregnant women (I, II, III trimesters) and nursing mothers. From throat infections Lizobakt!

Composition

Active ingredients:  

lysozyme hydrochloride 20 mg;

pyridoxine hydrochloride 10 mg,

Auxiliary substances:  

lactose monohydrate-155.4 mg;

tragacanth gum-10 mg;

magnesium stearate-4 mg;

sodium saccharinate-0.5 mg;

vanillin-0.1 mg

Pharmacological action

Lizobakt is a combined drug, the action of which is due to the components that make up its composition.

Lysozyme is an enzyme of protein nature, it is used as an antiseptic due to its direct effect on gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, as well as fungi and viruses; it takes part in the regulation of local nonspecific immunity.

Pyridoxine has a protective effect on the oral mucosa (has an anti-aphthous effect). It does not affect the pharmacodynamic properties of lysozyme.

Indications

-Treatment of infectious and inflammatory diseases of the oral mucosa, gums and larynx: gingivitis; stomatitis; – catarrhal phenomena in the upper respiratory tract; – aphthous ulceration; – herpetic lesions (as part of complex therapy); – erosion of the oral mucosa of any etiology.

Use during pregnancy and lactation

Lisobact® can be used during pregnancy and lactation.

Contraindications

-hypersensitivity; – hereditary lactose intolerance, lactase deficiency or glucose-galactose malabsorption; – children under 3 years of age.

Allergic reactions.

Interaction

The drug Lysobact ® enhances the action of antibiotics, including penicillin, chloramphenicol, nitrofurantoin, enhances the effect of diuretics, weakens the activity of levodopa.

Isoniazid, penicillamine, pyrazinamide, immunosuppressants, estrogens, and oral contraceptives may increase the need for pyridoxine (pyridoxine antagonism or increased renal excretion).

How to take, course of use and dosage

Locally.

Tablets should be slowly absorbed without chewing, keeping the melted mass of the tablet in the oral cavity as long as possible, until it is completely dissolved.

Children aged 3-7 years are usually prescribed 1 tablet 3 times a day,7-12 years-1 tablet 4 times a day. Adults and children over the age of 12 years — 2 tablets 3-4 times a day.

The course of treatment is 8 days.

Overdose

Symptoms of overdose are unlikely, may occur after use in doses significantly higher than therapeutic, and are manifested by a feeling of numbness, tingling sensation, and loss of sensitivity in the upper and lower extremities.

Treatment:  heavy drinking (forced diuresis).
