Children from 3 to 12 years old:
The duration of treatment depends on the duration of symptoms of the disease. If the patient’s condition does not improve within 3 days after starting treatment, then loratadine is not effective.
Patients with severe hepatic insufficiency should be prescribed a reduced daily dose of the drug:
Elderly patients do not require dose adjustment.
Patients with severe renal insufficiency (creatinine clearance

Lorahexal (loratadine) –H1is an antihistamine that does not have a central and anti-cholinergic effect.
When taken orally, the drug is well absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract. Absorption of the drug does not depend on food intake.
The effect of the drug begins 30 minutes after taking one tablet and lasts for 24 hours.
Loratadine is metabolized in the liver to form the active metabolite descarboethoxyloratadine.
Maximum concentrations of loratadine and its active metabolite in blood plasma are reached in 1.3-2.5 hours after taking one tablet of Lorahexal. Lorahexal does not cause drowsiness and does not affect psychomotor functions, attention, performance, and mental abilities.
