Key symptoms for prescribing the drug
: * intense, “shooting”, sudden, erratic pain that quickly appears and disappears•
* acroparesthesia( numbness), writing spasm;
• cramps and spasms accompanied by a feeling of stiffness.
Main cases of clinical use
Pain management
• right-sided trigeminal neuralgia with pain attacks
• * painful facial tics;
• convulsive pain along the sciatic nerve, which increases in cold air and decreases in heat and/or when bending the hip to the pelvis•
* acute toothache that occurs when drinking cold drinks;
• short-term seizures:
– writers;
– musicians (including pianists, harpers);
* contracture of the joints of the hands in manual workers who perform heavy and prolonged work (with various tools, sometimes simple knitting);
• hiccups.
Behavioral violations
* critical manifestations of spasmophilia (acroparesthesia and contracture affecting the extremities).
Gastroenterology
* intestinal colic with painful diarrhea or dysentery;
• hepatic colic•
* infantile colic.
Urology
* renal colic that decreases with local application of heat, strong pressure, or hip flexion to the pelvis.
Gynecology
* dysmenorrhea with cramping pains•
* prenatal and postpartum contractions.
